Hi All,

I was distraught to see a clip on Top Gear of Alan Partridge talking to another Lexus driver in a petrol station. It sent shivers down my spine. "We Lexi drivers! It's a Japanese Mercades". Last night saw the first episode on BBC2, and his Lexus featured a lot.

There was the airbag incident, and the petrol station, and it's going to get worse.

Sales of the Rover Vitesse fell after it was seen that AP drove one in his first series, leather driving cloves and cap.

The IS 200 he now drives is the same colour as mine, and I've already had work colleagues come up to me an say:

" Back of the net ...! "

or

" Cash Back !! " and thrusting their hips.

I now feel my 56% residual after 3yrs might have been a bit amitious....

Any body like to add their comments.

AP also killed the Ford Probe, not that it needed much help

Never heard of this Partridge chap before but I will watch him tomorrow on BBC2 at 10pm( Just in case there are any others like me)

Saw the show last Monday and it had me in stitches. There was a brief shot of the Lexus. Will watch it again.

I don't normally like it - didn't watch much of Knowing Me Knowing You at all.


but last weeks episode was hilarious.

the routine with the firedoor as the table had me in the floor

Is the joke that, Alan Partridge doesn't realise that BMW drivers are the biggest T****r wannabes. He has bought a carefully considered, well regarded car, and as Alan is such a gimp, he could never have consciously made that choice.
