Having ordered them over the phone I negotiated a 5% discount for being a Gold Club Member (wanted more, but better than nothing I suppose).
Went to pay and asked the guy whether he included my discount. He didn't know anything about it, but did reluctantly give me the money off.
He then told me that they had had such bad press from the owners club that they weren't going to offer any discounts to club members any more.
Seems interesting that feedback from a group of owners and enthusiasts should produce such a reaction? Customers unhappy? - just charge them more, that should sort it!
My response was that if the customer service improved then the reviews would be better, but it fell on deaf ears. All he was interested in was the name of the person I spoke to on the phone.
I have read the previous threads on the Ipswich dealership and can only agree with them. I was quite prepared to shell out a lot of money for the major timing belt service earlier this year but ended up taking it to Roys of Norwich as I could never get hold of anyone at Ipswich Lexus. Roys did an excellent job.
