I am having a problem on my 1991 ES300/Windom when trying to shift out of parking mode. One normally pushes the brake pedal and hears a small click after which the gear shift button will work allowing you to move the gear lever. However, the click is not coming on my car leaving the gear shift button un-pressable unless you hold down the little red override button. Once you've done this the car is perfectly fine providing you dont go back into parking mode.
Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be? It's such a lovely car it's a shame for it to be awkward to drive.
