Hello all.
Twice while driving yesterday my car misbehaved. I was on WOT at around 5,000 rpm and all power seemed to cut and the car lurched as if I had slammed on the anchors.
Liffted off of the throttle and all was fine. No lights on the dashboard, no horrible clonking or rattling noises and it hasn't done it since.
Anyone have any idea what may have caused this??
Cheers,
Mark

Sounds like an issue with your piggyback ecu for the supercharger perhaps? I am no expert, but I think that might be the cause

Tis not the belt chaps - if you recall a couple of weeks back I had to get a shorter belt after putting on the new manifold. The belt that is on there now is a 788 which = no room for slippage.
A slipping belt is usually acompanied by a noise as I have had the issue before. On these 2 occasions there has been no noise, just a massive lurch.

check connections on the ecu then, if definitely not the belt

When my ecu went the car shuddered twice like it was caught in a strong wind before cutting out completely. You might want to check if the tow eyes are away from the intercooler. If they're not and you break down it can only be towed from the back. Speaking from experience

Then you might want to make sure you've got RAC cover.

Would an issue with the ECU not throw a CEL though??
