This is a question for all of you with HID lights. How do you know when a bulb is on its way out? I have noticed that after having them on for about a 45 seconds one of the lights is not as bright as the other and changes to more of a purple colour.

If it is a bulb on its way out anyone know where I can get one. they are 6000K bulbs.

swap them over to make sure it's not a problem with the ballast

Good thinking!

A slight change in colour will tell you that they're on their way out. Happened to me, one side seems just VERY slightly different colour-wise. Changed both bulbs and both are the same colour now :).

One of my hid bulbs went last week.

Is there any water inside? as happens a lot on the is300. If so get down to your dealer, i've just had my entire light unit and bulb replaced f.o.c.

Free of charge! Just curious, but was yours done under the 3 year warranty?
