For those of you that dont know, I broke my radiator surround at the janspeed RR day. Only got around to replacing it today, along with a new TTE s/c belt.
Bloomin cold out (3c), hands dropping off, but is now fixed, and NO MORE BELT SLIP!

Dont' wash it today tho, started washing mine, and as I was using the chamois it was freezing on my roof

So wish I had a heated garage.

well, this is starting to bloody annoy me now. Got the 800 TTE belt, and it's STILL SLIPPING. Could it be the cold weather?
I'm meeting up with fever in the next few weeks so will be comparing mine against his, see if I can see anything untoward with my setup. Failing that, might take it down to tdi or prolex's mechanic.

Propbably a bit late now as you've put the belt on, but did youtry and de-grease the pullys ?? (not much point in it now as it would probably get greasy off the belt again!..)

...just a thought...

nah, never thought of that.

looking at it when it's running though, you can visibly see the belt "vibrating" with the slackness. adjuster is maxxed out.

Bearings ?

(dont know much more than that!)

i'd be surprised, the supercharger's only done 20k (according to aido )

Cant do much until i'm off work at xmas now, so will take another look then.
