Does anyone have an auto.Its my first IS Auto,is it advisable to use the 3-2-L gears as u would in a 6 speed box.cheers.Rsarin

nope its an auto, stick it in D for drive, and drive it

It depends on your driving conditions .... road conditions.
And of course ...... if you have money to waste on petrol

you shouldnt really need to change the ratio, unless your towing, carrying weight, or as ahmet says the road conditions dictate you need to be in a low ratio

You'll only need the low gears for setting off on snow etc.
Just stick it in D

Yes i heard that its only used if going down a steep slope or towing a vehicle.but even if i do use the 32L as you would in manual will it cause damage to the car in anyway.cheers.Rsarin

it wont damage it...but there is no need to change ratio, its an automatic, it changes automatically

As you have read in the manual, the majority of use of the limiting higher gears is to provide engine breaking or if you are towing.
