yeah, but *** service prices WITH 10% discount are still higher than **** prices WITHOUT...
True

but I have 2 get there & back

I know what you mean. Do you really need to take it to a main dealer ?
My mate had probs once with the normal lacquer peel on his wheels. Lexus *** refused to replace / sort the problem. Lexus **** took one look and said no problem, drive it in, we've got loads of sets of these wheels stored around the back, and he had them fitted there and then.
Main dealer ? Its the old catch22

need the stamp in the book otherwise B-----ks

I don't know. This is one of those things that can turn into an ongoing debate.
My thoughts are that although you MAY lose say £500 on the selling price if you ain't got your book stamped by a Lexus dealer, you are probably saving that by taking it elsewhere. I take mine to Nationwide Autocentres . They are a recognised service centre who are approved by the AA, so it ain't like they're some kinda backstreet garage.
But, that's just my two-pennyworth.

Lets be honest, when you come to sell your car, if you have a FLSH the dealer will say it doesnt add anything, but if you only have FSH - they will probably knock money off...
A full service history will hold the value of your car, having it all at a main dealer may not equal cash when you come to sell, but if you sell it privately, it suggests to potential buyers that the car was maintained regardless of cost. If you pay through the nose to get Lexus to service your car, then there is less chance of any repairs being done 'on the cheap'..
It also depends on your car - if its newer you might want to keep the FLSH, but if its getting long in the tooth, it will have little or no effect on the value...
