Hello ppl

im a newbie.. and i have a few questions to ask.. (i hope someone can help me)
Iv just bought a 1995 Windom here in Australia (and they are rare here)

1st. Iv had problems with overheating before but that was fixed coz iv had a major service done on my car

Now the new problem im having is that all these warning lights are still lighting up even though the problems are fixed (low power... iv had to rebuilt my alternator coz my battery wouldn't charge.) My mechanic is still working on it.. and he advised me that its all OK.. except for warning lights still lighting up. (the battery, the orange car looking on the left, and the engine i think.)

The only way to get rid of the lights is to rev up to 2000rpm..then they go away.. (any suggestions?

Iv heard that we need to get the sensor reset because the computer can read problems but not recognised fixed up problems.. is that true?

thanks smile.gif

yes get the ECU reset, however the lights going of at 4000rpm could be 2 things.

1.the regulator is goosed

2.bad earth from the engine,alternator..or battery-chassis
skperformance
the only problem is the alternator change that and everything will be ok

Hi Es3windom:
Where about are u in OZ?
is ur baby a 95 Lexus ES300 or a grey imported Windom?
I didnt know that there 's any grey imported windom as ES 300 was on the local market since early 90s.
And I thought grey importers in OZ can only get those models which were not saled by the distributors. In this case Lexus AUS.
