Hi all,

I have an ALTEZZA RS 200 Manual with performance exhaust, HKS Induction, TEIN suspenson, etc. Top performer. Problem is I think I am having problems with the LSD.

Back wheels turn very slow and sometimes spin even at 15 MPH.
When turning in second or 3rd gear, it tends to wobble. I haven't really abused it for the past year i have had it so don't know why.

The differential oil has been drained so it's stopped the noise it made on a turn. but the wobble and spin is getting worse. Dealers want to strip the whole diff and you know how much that's going to cost. Probably tell me to get a new one.
Does anyone who a toyota / lexus specialist who can overhaul the diff? Going striaght is no problem.^

hmmmmmm,depending if this was an aftermarket LSD,which im thinking it possibly was......its supposed to make a noise when turning.....its the friction plates binding,draining the oil is seriously gonna screw it.

i recon you have a good quality RACE spec diff/LSD fitted and thats why its locking when cornering....as it should when racing.

the solution you have is put up with the "top notch LSD" or remove it and fit a less % slip LSD

id contact TDI in london,for more accurate help....but i recon you have a good aftermarket LSD fitted

Don't want to remove a race spec LSD but i am wondering why it never did that for months till later.

just want to be reassured by an expect that, it's all safe, or not. my fear is it would collapse on me one day. don't know if it could happen.
