Does anyone know the if the IS200 has an input for a a mobile phone car kit? ie. to listen to the call via the car speakers?

Nope. As the stereo is amplified. You would need a Prolex Aux-Input with mute function for phone kits.

You're Lexus garage will be able to fit a specific hands free kit. My motor came with one when I bought it but it came with a seperate speaker mounted in the recess beneath the radio unit.

I just installed my onwn Nokia kit in the lexus Is200 Se model (amp) and installed a seprate speaker too, no mute fuction, but i have not taken the stero apart yet, although it does have a mute wire on the wiring dir.

I will post it as soon as i can.

from what i seem to remember it was the early radios ( cd at bottom) that had a mute wire, think it was a green one and pin 18 comes to mind for some reason

I just fitted my car kit and used the nokia speaker just under the top tray.

I did wonder if it had a MUTE facility but im swappig out the head unit anyway and the new unit does have a Mute function

yes they can be fitted and the lexus standard hu DO have mute function i have put a post up in the ice section with more info
