I have had my drivers side wing mirror knocked off and have purchased a second hand replacement. The mounting is the part that is broken.

Does anyone know how easy it is to replace the mounting (between door and mirror)? Is this something I could do myself with little mechanical experience?! Are there any manuals available that might show me how to do this?

I realise that I may need to install the whole wing mirror, but would prefer just to do the mounting as otherwise I have to try and swap the coloured parts on the back of the mirror with my current one as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

it will be easyer just changing the hole thing it should be held on by a couple of screws and a bit of plastic to remove from the door card and i wire or two the coloured bits are only cliped in should take 10 mins

Same thing happened to mine, bnot tried it yet as need to get a door mirror drivers side myself..... any good idea and cost
