I am looking for a set of wheels for a Lexus GS300 Sport (1997) I just purchased, suggestions where to get them from ? Bit expensive from Lexus.

At present the car has:
Front Azev 8.5Jx19 H2 with Yokohama 245/35ZR19 93Y
Rear Azev10Jx19 H2 with Yokohama 275/30/ZR19 96Y

I am finding these a bit tough on long journeys (great for short blasts).

I wish to put on the car wheels/tyres as close to the the original spec as possible:
245/40 ZR18 (rims 81/2Jx18).

Happy to do a swap of some sort if anyone wants the above.

Also, anyone have a key to remove the Azev wheels or where I might get one ..no luck so far (just hope I don't have a puncture) ?

Regards,
David

If you mean a key for the locking wheel nuts, then you might be out of luck. If they are aftermarket ones (probably will be with aftermarket wheels) then the only way to get a replacement key is to contact the manufacturer and provide him with the key code that would have been with the locking wheel nuts when they were purchased.

I suggest you try and contact the previous owner for either the key or the code. If you have no luck with this, then take your car to the garage and have the locks removed (normally takes a hammer and chisel, or involves bashing a socket onto the nut - it just depends on the type of locking wheelnuts you have) This has got to be a better option than getting a flat on the way to the airport and not being able to change the wheel :crybaby:

if they are Azev's with a centre cap,a set of Circlip pliers can be used to remove the screw......

I have an original set of Aristo rims for the GS300, still interested?

They are not the GB equivalent of the sports alloys mind, as l am after a set of these myself.

Agreed lexus quoted 1000+ but a local garage is selling for 800 with new dunlop tyres allround.
