I've tried to send a couple of private messages recently, but, after posting, they don't appear in my sent box.
Naturally, I haven't received any replies.
Am I doing anything wrong or do I need some sort of upgrade.
I am logged on OK.
I am a Gold Member. Last time I looked.
......and my dealer review is still not up. Posted last week. Doesn't have to be approved by the dealer, does it?

not all PM's get sent to the sent box.. you have to tick the box whether you wish it to be saved to the sent box or not.
The dealer reviews will be reviewed in a moment as I do these once a week.
