Found a website for parts direct from japan on the IS forum.
www.takakaira.com

I have a Mk2 GS but figure some parts for Mk2 Aristo would fit mine too.

Before shipping and customs, I can get:
Apexi Power Intake for 96 quid
Cusco aluminimum shaft front and rear strut braces for 65 quid each

It seems a good deal. Anyone got any experience of Cusco products on their Aristo?

Good Find.

I asked at Japfest how much a induction kit would be for my car, they said about £150ish.

Shipping stuff over to the Uk from Japan might cost £150

I will have alook through the site later.

Cheers chips..

shipping will certainly increase those prices
if not by weight it will be the size

i have ordered many parts from takys and have nothing but praise for them
they inform you of shipping and any extra charges before you order
you can then track your delivery from theirs to yours
duty`s are sorted by them as well

Maybe if enough people order from them we could get it all shipped over at once? It might reduce the cost of shipping between everybody?

Any probs with import duty on arrival to UK.
I have been stung for VAT in the past on large parcels from the States but have never ordered from Japan direct.

If you are clever enough and sort it with your contacts you shouldnt have to pay the ridiculous duty. I dont anyway. We pay enough VAT,
