Wife's car needed service and we were just too busy to get it booked in as happens in life. We knew it needed sorted but just needed to get round to it.
Hand was forced at the weekend as the car was feeling a bit strange and transpired we had a nail in the tyre.
Anyway this was Sunday night and my wife was working in London Mon, Tue, Wed and she needed car to go through to Glasgow tomorrow.
Phoned dealer Monday morning to see if they could look at car straight away. No problem, just bring it in. As usual, no drama, no issues, no reasons why not, just helpful service. Ruth's flight was at 11am - she arrived at dealers, checked in car and they gave her a lift to the airport and promised the car would be back by today.
I meant to phone dealer today to see if everything was on track and that she would get back from London and have a car. My work was mad today and it completely slipped my mind! AARRGHHH
Had to leave work early to pick up kids and got home at about 6pm to see the RX400h sitting in the drive all sorted. New tyre, serviced and a couple of wee niggles, creaky dash etc, sorted.
So basically we did no chasing, worrying, phoning Lexus Edinburgh or all the other things you would normally have to do to make sure that 'promises' were fulfilled.
In a week where I am looking after the kids and working full time, and going to London tomorrow and Ruth was in London 3 days and Dublin Friday the last thing we needed was a string of the usual, 'we can't do it this week, we couldn't get the part, we cant deliver the car for 6 weeks bla bla bla bla.
Fixing our 400h this week just, quite simply, got sorted. John Donaldson, Service Manager does his job fantastically and therefore let's us do ours. Big thanks to Edinburgh Lexus, Ian Reynolds and his team and especially to John Donaldson.
Thanks for making a hectic week have one less thing to worry about.
