Full Version: Cleaning Glass

can someone advise what they've found to be the best way to clean the glass inside the car?
obviously i don't wanna use anything that may leave powder residue and i've heard windolene can cause bleaching of the window tinting film.

any suggestions appreciated

I use something called Odex glass & Mirror cleaner cheap stuff but works great spray on and wipe of with newspaper works a treat :winky:

Merguiars glass cleaner works fine for me, doesn't damage the tint film.

mike is this a spray or a cream??
and just a microfibre with it?

It's a spray. The very fine mesh microfibre cloths work best on glass, John Lewis stores does some good ones, around a tenner for a pair.

Meguiars stuff always does. Factory must smell like a cake shop!

I've found Auto Glym Fast Glass to be good, but I don't know what it's like on window tint.

i've got some meguiars long life tyre dressing and it smells like grapes :D :P

If you have bad water marks on the windscreen I find that 50% vinegar solution rubbed with 0000 grade wire wool gives good results.

water marks ont he outside aint that big a deal because of the water de-ioniser i use. mind you, still get the occasional scattering of water marks.
just normal brown malt vinegar?? or the white stuff?

white distilled rather than brown malted although it doesn't matter that much
