Ok before you say I told you so, I won't do it again!

Running a bit late today, was eating brekkie in the car, and pulled out of petrol station to make a left turn, whilst eating a sausage with one hand. blush.gif

ANyway, kerb to my left was 6 inches high and drove into that as I made the turn, hence I have a kerbed chrome rim and one big hole in my Pirelli P Zero!

My question is regarding the wheel, how best to prevent corrosion where it's been curbed? Do I just polish up with NXT metal polish and then apply some clear lacquer?

Hope that sausage was worth it..? ohmy.gif

Oops... ohmy.gif

I think whatever you do, overtime it will start to deteriorate from the damaged area. Chrome can be difficult to 'touch up'.

Does anyone know of a place that refurbs chromes?

Wow, that's a lot of damage, how fast did you hit that kerb? unsure.gif sick.gif

I'm guessing having the wheel chrome plated again will be very expensive.......

No, the kids walking to school were laughing like mad as I drove down the street with a flat tyre and chrome rims trying to look "cool" laugh.gif

Hi

Try Lepsons (http://www.lepsons.com) I know they do alloys and even if they don't do chromes they will know someone who does.

You could also try Eden Park Motors on Bromley Road in SE London (Catford) they are aftermarket wheel specialists and do some serious bling for Chelsae tractors.

Are they the short stubby sausages or the big ones? I don't like the small ones they only last a few secounds. blink.gif
