Having a bit of trouble

car is connecting to the kit no probs but no volume out the speakers

is there a way i can test the speaker is working outside the car kit?
I dont have another speaker to test it

or would it be something else?

Far as I can remember the car kits will not work on amplified systems. You need the external speaker which should have been supplied with the kit,
