OK it's dumb question time - how do I change the wipers on a MK2 Aristo?
I've got a GS300 manual and it doesn't really mention it - just says you can change the position of the wipers to winter mode...
Anyway, tried moving them and they won't budge, don't want to apply too much force in case they break, and tried going in from underneath, ie when the bonnet is up, but can't get the wiper arms to open up, they are sticking on the left side - so question is, how do you change the wipers?!
I'm out until this afternoon but would appreciate any advice as mine need changing and the weather is getting crapper by the day!
Thanks in advance!

Should be straightforward to pull out the wipers. It's just a matter of lifting them up a bit and pushing the clip on the hinge such that they can release. Easier if bonnet is up too.

Hmmm that's the problem - they only seem to lift a mm before sticking - will check it out this afternoon

try squirting wd40 at the base of the wipers where they are getting stuck, then trying to lift.

just set them to wipe and turn off the key when they are out on the windscreen
Thats all i did to change mine

Ah good point, I was setting them going and then turning off the wipe but it was automatically retracting the blades
Will go and try now!

Still couldn't get the arms to lift up, in the end kind of just managed it by lifting the arm the inch or so it would come up and then whipping the old one off and putting the new one on - these Bosch quick snap on things need a bit of space so it took a bit of persuasion to get these buggers on right!
All working now but I'm still none the wiser - maybe the Aristo's don't have winter mode as these are not budging for love nor money!
The wipers actually work fine though so *** knows if something weird has seized maybe?!
