Just changed the wipers on my car, what a pita, as you cannot lift them up due to bonnet overhang, you just have to slide them out leaving them almost flat, nice now they are done though!!

Doesn't lifting the bonnet first help?

Maybe you have to put wipers on and stop them (turn ignition off) when they are vertical.
Glad you sorted it though.

Haha
You had the exact same problem as me yesterday!
Did you fit those Bosch easy clip things? *** what a pain they were like you say!!!
*** knows why you can't lift the arms!!!

As Winnie says, the best to do these is to put the wipers on and stop when vertical, you can then easly replace the blades etc....

On the series II they're on a cam - I saw the dealer just grab the wiper arm and pull it and up they pop - I thought 'aaaahhh'. When you've changed the blades, you just push them down again. They think of everything.
Don't know about the Mk. I though...

Hi,
On the mk1 ive had to use just the wiper rubber refills as the complete aftermarket ones eg champion/bosch ones were wider and didnt fit in the wiper arms.
Chips..
