I want to install DAB in my IS220d. Now, REVO do a unit, reports vary though, and Halfords do a free install. ( Dangerous in itself! )
I once saw an IPOD system that would patch into the existing head and use the cars own controls.
Anyone have any ideas?

I once saw a unit that could be connected into that Aux jack, at Costco - it was £38 including vat, and could work off the power socket in the arm rest. Like twirp I didn't buy it (before I got my new IS).
The thing is that I can't remember what make it was...
Unbelievable, the power of hindsight

I've got an IPOD size DAB unit that will plug into the Aux socketa etc, I was looking for a more permanent solution...
The tat box in the armrest is already full!

I would try a good independant Car Electronics company -
Example - like http://www.cel-direct.com/ who are very professional. They fitted the Nav unit in my old A4 and did a grand job, very neat and reasonably priced. Furthermore, most car dealers in Leicester use them - warranty therefore remains intact.

There must be garages near you - not the cheapest but at least they'll be better than Halfords.
