Gents,

has anyone had the A/C make strange gurgling sounds ? and as a byproduct, the A/C seems to only have two settings, etiher nice and cold or just plain volcano mode....

Any thoughts ?

that is a common "issue" with altezzas. 9 of 10 altezzas that i've been in, make that sound, and i've been in a lot of altezzas!!! (as im in the altezza club in hk)!

no concern at all (unless your AC is not cold). When you say volcano mode, i am assuming your AC is not on rite? cos if its on and it blows hot air, then there is something to worry about.

So if you AC is cold, and it makes gurgling noises, then there is nothing to worry about. You just have to live with it.

I have also noticed this sound coming from behind the dash which i assume is the A/C. Only difference being is that i dont have an Altezza, mine is just a IS200sport.

Would you say its the same thing and there is nothing to worry about?

with the A/C on and set to cold its like a an ice box if I want it so I guess everything is OK. Thanks for the advice all

yup ... not a problem. I have the same sound in my IS200 too.

Also get the random gurgle sound from behind dash location but not a worry all ok.
