I'm not due to change my IS 200 SE auto for sometime, but there seems to be a few people moving on to other products, so it got me thinking what I'd replace it with, so here it goes:

Imported IS350 :D

honda accord both normal and type R, im def with you on that one aswell as the S2000. Mazda 6 is good and auidi's A4 S4 and S3. new IS350 of course has got to be one of the top one's. I wouldnt touch the Merc though, there definatly not what they used to be no matter what anyone tells you, my dad has had them for 25 years and they've got worse over the last 8 years. Finaly you need to add a Mitsubishi Starion too the clasics and an EVO (any fq from mk VII up) to the sporty edge.

stay away from the CLK230 kompressor.......i test drove one and it felt like a damn tank mate!! full of toys but pants to drive IMO

get the IS350.....its all good :winky: :D
Kazi
IS350 everytime....and thats without being biased. I think they are great, comfort, luxury...road presence....

Although an IS350 would be good, but then the new BMW 335 is lightning

CLK 230k its baby in a playpen car, all the toys and all the bits to play with just put their to distract you from its rubbish reliability
A4 S4 - overpriced Golf clone
BMW 320D - have u lots all sense of quality, its a lousy diesel made to feel better by half a ton of soundproofing
BMW 535D - a better diesel in that it only needs a quarter of a ton of soundproofing nose heavy and needs a brave heart in corners
Volvo C70 - not a bad car at all apart from if you have a large bum its very uncomfortable, avoid the shiny leather, or u slide everywhere, and never ever ever get the smaller engine versions
Honda Accord nice car shame they never made a real sport version like it could have been

for sporty edge
Honda S2000 now that is a nice car, unless your a large bloke (or girl) as you will look like your sitting on it not in it
Tyre R civic GTI Skateboard but huge fun and mega reliable
New Golf GTI when the Diesel GT is faster why bother with 20 MPG
Mazda 6 2.3MPS smooth and nice car
Honda Accord type R nice and fast shame the rest of the car can't keep up with the engine

old skool flavour (for the mild moddifactions)
VW Carrado if you can find one that doesnt rattle like a snake
BMW 325 touring never really saw the point of this
Toyota Corolla gti 120 mph with 40 mph steering and 70 mph brakes
Nissian almera GTI you will be glad your inside looking out ,, rather than having to look at that shape

OK my 3 favourites
Luxury Lexus LS460 (one day, one day)

Power
Ford Sapphire RS 4X4 bit biased as my son has one (just dont leave it parked anywhere or it will vanish)

Old Skool
Escort Mexico Mk1 The real one, not the RS2000

OK maybe i am picky :tomato:

By the way Marx I wasn't being a negative or having a go there

Just that some of my friends have many of the cars you picked, and you should hear them moan about them especially the beemers, both of the ones you mentioned are mates who work for the same firm that says they must have diesels

Both of them cant wait till their lease comes to an end before they can change them

Best diesels they reckon ? Peugeot or believe it or not Alfa who make a fantastic oil burner

I went to an S40 T4 and took it to be rica'd,and tickled now she kin goes, its a bit of a handfull. it aint got no wood onthe dash and its clippin 235 at the wheels, . and the look on a beemer drivers face when you smoke them in a yellow volvo is pricless, perfect sleeper cars.

But if i had the cash an imported IS350 all day everyday, :driving:

I worked for over 25 years in R&D for Fraud motor co. I will never forget the first LS400's, we had eight as "test cars" in reality for management to drive. Nothing yet has made me change my opinion the Lexus is very good, BMW's are over rated, Mercedes unless you get the million pound models are cheap and nasty. Honda are under rated ,Nissan does what it says on the tin.
The only down sides I can see with Lexus is , for some reason Merc/ BMW owners look down on them ( snob value ? ) and they lose a lot of risidual value early on. Unless I win the lottery I will never buy a new car again, not even a Ford that I get at 25% discount. Let someone else get kicked in the nuts.
