Hi All,

Being a new Lexus owner having just bought an old 1993 GS300, I was wondering if there are such things as specialist Lexus scrappies. I have driven BMW for years and can get them fixed for next to nothing by going to the right places. You can pay an arm and a leg at the "wrong" places!!

Now, whilst I love the smoothness and all of the goodies of the GS300 I am concerned about the rip-off prices that seem to be charged for spares. So are there any decent, reasonably priced Lexus scrappies about?

For example I need a repalcement passenger door mirror shell ( in"Bordeaux" - maroon to you and me - if poss), electric aerial - mine won't retract fully and a set of decent grey mats. Any suggestions?

Simon

Also, Where's the best place for service parts?

Hi Simon.
I see you are just over the bridge from me.
I wouldn't worry too much about finding parts because they very rarely go wrong unless you are very unlucky.
You can get your aerial mast from Ebay for a lot less than lexus charge and thats including shipping from the US. I bought one a few months ago and like my big rear wheels, I still haven't got around to fitting it.
