Right then boys and gyals.... :D

After the huge success of the last Midlands Mini Meet, I suggest we make this a more regular affair. I think once a month, on week night, at a different Midlands location (ie Notts, Leics, Stafford, Coventry, Derby etc), some food and drink followed by a little cruise. B)

I think based on the previous thread that the following would be up for it:

Zee
Andy Hart
Chris Shipley
Loz
Johnny
Rich
Ifraz
Dave
Imi

If we can confirm at least a "Regular" bunch of lads, I'm sure it would be worthwhile - then we can pull in other members out there to either become "regulars" or attend the odd meet. ;)

What are everyones thoughts? Could start with a Leicester meet next Tuesday as they have a cruise on near Fosse Park?

Zee.
Mr-Lex
As much I love to attend...the journey can be bit difficult for me. If you are planning anything like that then can you's organise at least a weekend meet...so it gives my lazy bum a chance to meet you's!!! :P

BTW, if anyone else is planning around london or essex pls do keep me posted.
Matthew_McNally
wednesday night or friday night and I may be able to turn up for an hour or so.

same story as last week - I am in London 2 days most weeks, and its normally drive down wednesday and back friday, so if its close enough, I can join in for a bit!
Chris.S
I'm in

Obviously depending on car situation I'll come in whatever car is available

Is it possible to make it either Friday,Saturday or Sunday though
ifraz
You can count me in as a 'regular' in the Midland Meets.

Please add my name to the list :D
Zee007
Ifraz - consider yourself a regular.... ;)

Mr. Lex - Don't forget that there is a Southern meet soon - so make sure you come along to that! :D

With regards to days - we can make this Fridays or weekends, but the reason I opted for weekdays was so that this doesn't clash with other Club meets too much...

But looks positive so far - more feedback and comments please... :yahoo:
Chris.S
The reason I ask is Sat I don't start work till later or Monday's but weekdays I'm in work at 7.00am
Mr-Lex
Definitely will be going to Southern meets.

But if there is a weekend meet in Midland I may once come down!!!

Fair do's matey - can't have a Midlands meet without "the man" eh...?
imi
I'd like to attend the meet too but i can't make it on the weekend tho...
Zee007
OK - so Fridays look to be favorite at the moment...

Any more suggestions?
ricky_is200
Because of the distance I can't promise to make it to all the meets, and just to be a pain mid week would probably be easier for me as I often have things on at the weekend, especially in the evening.
Chris.S
Friday's are fine with me

So will the leicester meet be Tuesday or Friday next week ?
ifraz
Just for the record, I would prefer midweek, but most weekends should be fine also. Right...I've said my bit.

Thanks to Zee for being top Midlands organiser :D

Zee007
I know this is VERY short notice, but Johnny, Andy and I are meeting in Leicester tomorrow to have a natter - If anyone would like to join us, then please post your interest here and I will post details of time and location! :D

With regards to the proper MMM, I think we ought to hold off at the moment as we have Donington and Brooklands coming up. Lets look at organising something in March time.... OK with everyone?
Zee007
Right then folks - time to resurrect this thread and arrange a date for the next MMM.

I suggest week commencing the 24th of February. I'm not fussed on the day - but try to be flexible as we want as many people as poss to come. We've had Notts, so again I'm open to suggestions - so if you know of a cool place to meet one evening and have a reasonably priced meal where we can have a laugh then please post here.

For those who missed out on the first MMM in Notts, this is your chance! And for those who came - you know what a great night we had! :yahoo:

Once agreed, I will get our Club Organiser Claire to add this meet to the LOC list and we'll do the same for all future MMM's too. So come on folks, show us your support! B)
ifraz
You're right, the 1st MMM was great, can't wait for the next one :P

I know we have already done Notts, but I think Notts can be another good one to do on a Sunday. I was driving past 'The Forest' which is the Goose Fair and Park & Ride site (for those who know the city) and there must have been between 50-100 cars all parked up nicely forming a massive circle of cars. I think they were taking it in turns to come to the middle and burn some rubber or something  . Looked quite good and was tempted to join them.

I'll look out for it again this Sunday to see if it's a regular thing or just a one-off.

Could be really good if a big group of Lexi's joined in :P B)

andyhart21
Cant make the w/c the 24th Zee, unless its the sunday after (2/3/03), I'm off on my jollies :P
Zee007
OK folks - what I need from all those interested is a 1st and 2nd choice location and 1st and 2nd choice day. I will put a few examples down here but you are welcome to suggest any place so long as the cars will be safe and they have food and drink near by.

Derby
Chesterfield
Leicester
Loughborough
Notts
Stafford

Monday through to Sunday

My choice for week commencing the 24th is ANY day and ANY location.

I will keep a running list and we will go with the majority. We'll also try and get to every Midlands location this year!
Steve
Might be a good idea to make plans for future MMM meets... I can send these out to all gold members in a mini newsletter.

If you do then claire can pop these into the calender and events page too.

There is also another couple of retail parks in Derby, but the same applies :(

Here we go then Matt:

McDonalds
Wyvern Retail Park
DERBY DE21 6NZ

For all you Notts lads, the best way is to come straight down the A52 past J25 M1, and as you get towards Derby, you will see the signs for the Wyvern retail park. It is the last exit before the Penatagon Island.

See you all there!!
Mitch
not Mr Chang is it chris????
Chris.S
Who the hell is Mr Chang ?
