Ive got a GS300 SE 2002 with standard 17" wheels and 235/45 ZR17 tyres.

I would like change the tyres to 225/55/Z17 for a better ride, a tyre place said I should not do that.

Phoned Lexus and they did not seem to know.

So I thought I would ask the people who would know LOC

Has anyone done this to their GS and is it OK ?

Thanks Guys for any help on this

I think they will be too thick. the main problem is speedo would be out. the width you would perhaps get away with but it would not be as safe as the correct size, if im wrong somone will let you and me know.

Your best bet would be to call a Tyre & wheel seller, some are really helpfull & some are not.

I would pretend that you are looking to buy some new wheels, & then ask the question.

Your speedo would be out if you put a taller profile tyre on the wheel,,

Just a thought !!!!
Hope you get the answer your looking for wacko.gif

Yea I looked at a Tyre Calculator and its only 3.4 mph out on the speedo which I can live with ,I do have my Origin2 to keep me in line.

I might go for some 16" wheels with 225/55 on like I had on my old GS mk1,

But it would be nice to keep the 17".
