this is a list of whats not working,gear selector gate (have to use the over ride button ,reverse lights,indicators (hazard ok ) instrument lights ...all ),just disconnected the battery (as mentioned in older threads ),will leave of for the night...any ideas

Have you actually checked all fuses???

may be worth checking the wiring at the bottom of the steering wheel at the wiring loom were it loops there i have one were a wire was broken and stopped the wipers working

my mission today was to pull all the fuses and physically test them one by one...........you were right .after checking all the engine ones ( again ),then pulling and checking the passenger footwell ones,i found the culprit in the drivers side ....time well spent,must say the hand book was as much use as a chocolate spoon..BIG THANKS
