hi guys, i have just been experiencing a loud distorting noise from the speaker on the dash of my v300. it seems to come on when the car is cold and i switch the sterio on. it stops when i turn it of. it sounds like connecting a speaker to a battery terminal and scratching it on the terminal.

i have tried balancing speakers but it didn't stop. (I HAVE THE SAT/NAV TV SCREEN ). it eventually stops after 10 mins of driving. its happened three times. am really worried because i dont want to lose the sterio system. its one of the things that makes the car special to me.


HELP PLEASE

Would not worry too much, distortion may mean bad connection, duff speaker or duff amplifier channel. These are all easy fixed if diagnosed correctly. Tried Lexus?

No probs with my Lex audio but the Mondeo has a JBL system which is constantly needing re-soldering due to the bumpy ride.
