Although Coventry give no discount they make up for it with the service they give.Lost my clock, heater, stereo, lighter and mirror adjustment.Phoned Coventry and Cathy booked me in for today.1 hour later all fixed and wash and vac done.Caused by 5amp fuse blowing.Excellent service as usual from Cathy and Craig and to top it all there was no charge!!

I go to Lexus Cov and I can't praise them enough. Superb service (both mechanically and customer), mine was in for nearly a week to have an oil leak fixed, got to play in a 250 SEL for a week (with better fuel consumption than my 220d but that's another story). Got my car back on Wednesday and it looked like new. Superb.

It is probably why they dont give discount as they are a busy dealership.
chandru
they do give 10% on parts. and are a good dealership as u guys have said smile.gif
chandru
have to say have recently had rubbish service from them. from their service dept. and their principal Tim Huxley.
Steve ( West Mids )
Isn't principal moonlighting in Cheltenham?
chandru
he is principal of both. most of time is in cheltenham.

I have had no real dealings with dealer for a few months but have always found them good in the past.I had heard whispers that the service manager from Worcester had taken over and I was told today that Ben(sales manager)had also left but don't know if any of that is related.

ya pete service manager from worcester took over as they closed down n opened up cheltenham, he took over from kathy. didnt know ben..thought a guy called mark was sales manager.

i'm popping in today to look at a car so will have a look round.Ben Wilson was there before Listers took over and he stayed on there - terrific guy who looked after you years after you had purchased from him.I don't call in that often - just now and again to peruse the stock or for annual service mainly.

Not used B'ham but have used Leicester in 2006 and was satisfied with level of service but as you say,not 1 mile away.

For anyone intending to use Lexus Leicester read my review of them first. Of course make your own minds up, but I've found them somewhat lacking to put it mildly.

Last month I traded my old Lex for GS 430 at Lexus Coventry and as usual cannot really complain as the service I received was A1.
The car I was purchasing took a day longer to prep. than anticipated (couple of minor scuffs/scratches) so a courtesy car was supplied. Sales and the service dept. were very helpful as were the ladies on reception. Car is going in for a couple of very minor niggles to be sorted and courtesy car is being supplied again.

I can only speak for myself, but I have never experienced anything but outstanding service from Lexus Coventry, so far, in my 6 years of using them.
chandru
Glad you did, to make up for the service I never got. lol. Lexus Birmignham have confirmed there is a noise in myseat that shouldnt be there, the seat cover is worn more than standard, the sat nav doesnt display the correct location when starting the car and stopping (parking), while Lexus Coventry said there was nothing wrong with any of the above. So the car is going in to Birmingham on Monday, and will report when get it back from them. Atleast, I'm one step further with them, than I ever was with Coventry. So think its fair to say Lexus Coventry have a very poor service attitude, maybe because the car isnt from them even though my previous one was? But still they get paid for any warranty work.

Had numerous issues with my IS250 se-l which went into Coventry on numerous occasions. On the last one, they said nothing was wrong and refused to look it via the dealership principal. a total disgrace and appaling customer service. Have since taken it to Lexus Birmingham who have acknowledged the problems. So make up your own judgements!!!

btw, Nigel that was the dealer principal at Coventry before Tim Huxley is now the dealer principal at Lexus Birmingham

Glad to hear that someone has acknowledged your problems. You still don't appear very pleased with Birmingham either judging by your post in the 220/250 section. The padding to sort rattles around gearstick area seems innefective or has induced another problem as you state rattling around it is worse in the heat. Also your seat problem persists and you say 2 staff at Birmingham told you new seat fitted then you were told it was on order. It certainly appears that no matter which dealership you use you do not get any satisfactory outcome.
chandru
bham has sorted all the issues out now, only one outstandin is the speaker. they have replaced it, but still there, might bevibration behind it which is causing this.

just f.y.i dave, the service manager @ coventry has now left as well, pete saunders. he was the one that moved from worcester i think when that closed which means they now have no service manager as such....

also ben wislon from coventry is at birmingham lexus. theres him, nigel (dealer principal)and someone else from coventry that have all moved to lexus birmingham.
