wink.gif Hi, I just joined the Lexus Owner Club.

Question 1. I just bought a 1998 Toyota Windom 2.5 X and I am looking for advice on the best way to get parts for the car.

Question 2. Does Lexus or Toyota supply parts for the 1998 Toyota Windom

Question 3 Is there a european model lexus or Toyota that shares parts with the Windom 1998.

I' d appreciate any information on the above.
Steve
Hi Del

Most Toyota Dealerships will suply parts for your windom

We do have a guy here on the forums that will be happy to supply parts for your windom mate... His name is Chris Shipley... have a chat with chris as he supplies my Windom parts too.

So what exactly is the 2.5 x model?
Steve
I checked this out as I never knew this model exsisted. There was not much to go on but yes the 2.5 X model was made and on a 97.

So does that mean a 2.5L motor i assume???
Steve
yep! not sure what the X is though.

I assumed that after 91 they only made 3.0L as from reading up in my good old' Lexus book..

Just to add to this I also have a Windom 2.5 v6 it uses the 2vz-fe motor which is used in the Camry Prominent. It may not be available in the UK but there are a number of these here in New Zealand along with many es300 Windoms

WOW this is an old post but i will throw my 2 cents in.
The 2.5 liter is common but not sold in North American on the mcv10 or 20 chasis ,
So basically teh 2.5 has been around since the early 90's the X is for model designation of equipment level.

Sorry that should read 4vz-fe engine. It basically has all the bells and whistles of the ES300 except for the electric seat adjustment. Same body etc.
