I managed to reverse into a large stone/rock outside a friends house earlier today and quite badly scratched the rear bumper in two places, i've got a chips away bloke repairing it on thursday who seams confident he will get it looking like new again.
Anyone on here used chips away before? and were you happy with the result?

I have used ChipsAway and was very impressed with the results. I think it will depend on your local chap though, the one in Leicester works from a unit not from the back of a van so his results are very good for panitwork.

Yes Andy - however not since I've had my IS200. I used them about 2 years ago when I had my Peugeot and they were excellent...
Friends have used them since, and they semm to know what they're doing (well, certanly the boys who work for chips away in the Midlands)...

I've had the repair done today by the chips away bloke and am very pleased with the results, the colour match is absolutley spot on. Poor bloke was outside for six hours in the freezing cold wind and snow and still managed to get a perfect finish. Total cost for two repairs to the rear bumper was £150, I dread to think how much a new bumper would have cost.

Kavey, unfortunatly I didn't take any pictures, best bet is to phone your local chips away man and take your car to where he's working (if it's not to far away of course) so he can have a look, at the same time you can have a look at the work he's doing to someone else's car to see the finished result.
The bloke who did mine said they tackle nearly all minor repairs i.e. scratches, stonechips, small creases and dents but there is a limit to what they are prepaired to undertake.
