I have 2 questions about reg plates.
My car is still registered in France so it has french plates on. Is there a time limit for me to get UK plates or am I allowed to keep it registered in France ?
Are reflective plates street legal in UK (plates that become blank when shot with flash)
Thanks

Think if the car will only be here so many months of the year you are allowed to leave the French plates on and tax it over there, if it will be here solidily for a long period though I think you have to register it here and then tax in the UK?
Someone will be able to confirm that bit.
As for the license plates, those are illegal here I think, or if they're not they soon will be!
In fact just checked on the net and if you plan to use your car here for more than 6 months you'll have to register it with the DVLA, their website is www.dvla.gov.uk

I would prefer to keep it registered and insured in France as it would be far cheaper for me, but I assume that as long as I am living in the UK I will have to get it registered here
I think it is illegal aswell but just wanted to be sure of the risk I take by having them on
