Hey guys, I bought my 2002 IS200 SE recently. When I bought it, I was given 2 black keys - one key works fine with all the functions, the other key works fine too with central locking, but it won't start the car.
Up until now, I have searched the forum several times and followed various guides, but I still can't get the bloody thing to work. Like I said, the remote functions (doors and boot) work perfect, I am able to switch the ignition on and all the lights come on, but it just won't start.
Could anyone please post a method to program the key for the immobiliser which definatly works please?
Many thanks,
Kevin

Thanks Parthiban, but isn't that the procedure for coding the remote central locking to key? Not the immobiliser?
I'm not sure, but I think it may be

Yes it is, but as far as I know that is the procedure you would go through if you bought a brand new key, so if its not working then doing this should reset the key.
Although I'd have to say it seems a little bizarre that the key works for locking/unlocking, but won't start the car - guess it's worth trying the procedure above, otherwise get in touch with a dealer who should be able to help you with what's wrong (normally won't charge for things like sorting keys)

There is another procedure posted on here - it uses the accelerator more than the lock/unlock business.
Ferked if I can find it though
I'll keep looking.
Found something - it's written different from the one I used, but from memory I think it's the same. PM me if it doesn't work, I'm sure I've got the link at home.
