Hello, I just bought a 97 es300. One think that is messed up is the gas filler door does not appear to have a spring. Could someone tell me where the spring is suppose to be? Is it on the hinge itselft?

The spring is normally attached to the fuel flap itself

hmmm... spring?
When you press the button to open it just pops open a little... does not fully open

Its just a small pice of tin with a plastic cap on it. It sound like it is bent flat it need's to be under pressure when the door is shut and then it springs the door open when you press the button. bend it outwards
