How much can I expect to play for a full wheel alignment by a Lexus Dealer?

Hi mate,

I've just had mine done - around £90 as it takes over an hour for full 4 wheel alignment, toe, camber etc.... but with GOLD discount, there is a considerable saving......

lex stockport quoted 110

I've had 2 of these done ... by the same lexus / toyota dealer ...

1st on a MR2 turbo ... £65

2nd on my IS at its 10k service ... £25

Both included adjustments and a full print of before + after + tolerances.
And both cases resulted in a huge improvement in handling.

I got discount off it via gold - but £25 is very cheap......

Bit far out of the way for most people i expect

Having alignment again + 20k service at new Ipswich Lexus centre next week ...
Will make my report but i'm expecting them to be HUGELY more expensive.
Just a sneaky feeling i have ....

For info, my 10k service was 115quid (that includes vat and 25quid for the alignment).

Is this what you paid for a 4 wheel CHECK or an ALIGNMENT?


If this is for a check - then they saw you coming, as this is part and parcel of the 20k service, and not needed @ 10k.


If this is for the alignment - then SCORE! - loads cheaper than everyone else! (including me!)


Lexus Chester was £95 for the alignment, but I paid substantially less, as a problem in sourcing wheels (plus a certain magical discount ) bought the price down to around half that.

115quid was the 10k service, vat and full 4 wheel alignment.
Alignment was listed seperately on the invoice at 25quid.
Yes they had to make adjustments ...
Yes i got the printed report showing what they'd changed etc.
And YES it drove much better afterwards

as I said in the earlier post SCORE! - thats an excellent price!



why did they check it @ 10k - did you instigate the check, or did tyre wear give it away etc?


and yes - you can tell the difference afterwards!

I had mine done at Lexus Coventry the week before Xmas £120 plus vat

do the dealers do it differently or something?

I had mine laser aligned for £15.. all 4 wheels at my local tyre place.

Not like having an alignment is gonna break a waranty is it?

just been to my local tyre place (direct tyre & exhaust) in stockport
spoke to tony the boss

now they do laser alignment on all 4 wheels for free
.......

£20 for the adjustments

but!!!

this is not the same as the 4 wheel alignment offered by lexus (and toyota)
the machine they use cost 14 k and tests everything (suspension camber etc) i mean it is the muts knutts so when you go to your tyre fitter ask is it tracking being checked or is it everything ie do you get a print out

so to be honest when you see it offered and it seems too good to me true it probably is saying that ...
