Full Version: Removing "sport" Badge From Sport Grille
Lexus Owners Club > Lexus Models > Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
Hando
Trying to remove the little "sport" badge on the sport grille - but looking at it from behind looks like it's attached/glued on unlike the "L" badge (even though it does have washers on it).

Before I pull things apart and make a mess - can anyone confirm if they've removed this badge safely/without mess before?

thanks
Kazi
If ou take it off it should look ok. :D

its not designed to be removed !
it is put on before painting and will make a mess if removed ;)

Cheers, bazza - thought that might be the case. I'll leave it alone then. :)

I replaced my Sport badge it with an Altezza one and it came off no problem.

Thing is if you do remove it you will be left with the rectangular metal plate with 2 holes that it is stuck to, that would look a bit odd.

yeah i think he means removing the metal plate aswell.

i had a look at it myself when i got mine. dont think its possible without ruining the mesh. suppose u could replace the whole peice of mesh. but its too much agro for me. im just going to cover the original domed sticker with a vinyl colour then put a logo over the top.

Yep meant the whole thing - logo and metal back plate. I think if I want to go for fully debadged grille then it's either keep eyes peeled for a replica grille on fleabay or go for the TTE front bumper with integrated grille.
