My black SE was treated when new with the paint protection system I was given the replenish wash and told to use it every 6 weeks or so, would it harm if I used it more as at the moment keeping the thing clean requires at least 4 washes a week. I am using it with every wash no apparent probs just lots of admirering looks and questions on how the hell do I keep it so highly polished........... do`s look smart.

Can't see washing it more often would create any problems.
Which paint protection system did you have?

It was the Platinum paint protection system offered by Lexus.

Not heard of that system, how much did they charge you?
What are the supposed benefits?

Bought the car second hand from Lexus Hull, the protection was paid for by the previous owner benefits are longer lasting shine, protection from bird poo poo and easier cleaning as it beeds the water into very small droplets, after every wash it also gets a thin coat of Auto Gylm resin wax and the their extra gloss protectin too.

The only danger that i know of from washing a car too much is that you can end up with sore arms

there are a few products available professionally that add an extra coat to the exterior of you paintwork.With some of them you do not have to use shampoo to keep the car clean,just hose it down.

pollishes vary in quality,i cant mention products by name but the most expensive is not nessesarily the best. I used a top brand polish to finish of a job and was amaised to see it had gone dull after a few weeks.

i use a rubbing compund to remove surface film and finish of with polish,rubbing compound only use it once every so often,polish lots of times as it gives extra protection.
