This is really useful. Am I correct in thinking that I won't need to control arms and the bushes advertised in the link can be used to replace the old bushes on the lower control arms?

yes, the bushes from daizen mean you don't need to buy new arms, but i think you have to burn the old ones out first before putting the new ones in..the ride will be a bit harsher with the daizen bushes tho, as the lexus bushes are rubber.
you could try and get uprated trd bushes from japan, as they are rubber,,
