Anyone doing anything special for a loved one, or is it the usual flowers, card and an overpriced meal in a jam packed restaurant
javaboss
I've sent my wife a dozen red roses. So, it's the usual flowers thing! Mind you, she loves flowers! £70.00 is a small price to pay to see her smile! :D
Steve
just a smile?

Well, I've got the impossible to deal with.
 Don't be getting me anything for Valentine's day.

 And don't be sending anything to work

and

 Don't be taking me out anywhere.
What am I supposed to do with that?

I'll be damned if I do, and damned if I don't! :nuke:

Men are from :arrrggg-matey: and Women are :alien:

That's funny - my wife said almost the same thing. Take it from me - you're a dead man if you don't send her something! B)

I just ran that through my handy "female language translator".

Here is the output
OI you - I want expensive present at home in the morning - with big card.

Dozen roses and choccies at the office - plus big heart shaped ballon.

Dinner and champagne at expensive restaurant in the evening.

Otherwise - the couch looks good for the next few weeks
handy device sometimes

Steve
the art of Women.. now that means she wants you to send her stuff to work so she can show off to her mates.

It is usually the opposite of whatever they say..

If they say no or dont then that means yes and do!

 how wubbley!

Speaking personally it's just another day - if you love someone you can show them in 100 little ways through the year by things you say and do.

Ahhh, that's really nice. I'd still liked to be spoilt now and again, it doesn't seem to happen very often

Don't get me wrong - I enjoy being spoiled as much as the next girl, but if he does it just because it's "that day" be it anniversary, birthday or valentines it doesn't mean as much as if he say, came home from work an hour early and cooked dinner - beans on toast would do (and washed up afterwards, that would be nice, but hey - lets not push it!!)
It's the thought that counts, not the cost!!!

I think it's just a rip mostly to make money for the card companies.

Like someone said - if you love someone you don't need to do something special on a certian day just because there's cards on sales at Hallmark!

Me and wifey don't have anything to do with it
Steve
just like xmas it was all invented by companies to make money.. its all for commercial benefit!

I dont send em!

But i am quite willing to let them take a peak of my birthday suit

Valentines Day, of course I'm doing something...

I only asked her to iron one shirt this morning!

(She can do the other one tonight!) :P

You know how to spoil a laydeeee!!!

Nah, I can't really moan, my other half is really good. I hardly ever cook (he says it's self preservation!) and he does help around the house if I point him in the right direction of the hoover.

I think you get ripped off if you go out Valentines night, so we might try and get a babysitter for one night next week!
