Just wondering where I can have my punctured tyre fixed in birmingham/solihull area cheap?



Just got a quote from quick-fit and the price is 17.5 pounds. Thinking it is toooooooo expensive cos I used to live in Manchester last year and fixing a tyre in the garage in hyde road was about 7-10 pounds.

average is about £12 - 15

Costs me a fiver at my local garage mate. I've found that not all offer repairs though as they don't trust it. However, if you choose a good'un and it's done properly, I don't see a problem. There are certain areas of the tyre that they cannot repair though for safety's sake.

aslong as the puncture is in the middle 3/4 of the tyre then its ok - anywhere in the sidewall or the edge of the tread then forget it

If I ever use Kwik-Fit or similar I always pull the gaffer and say i'm not bothered about a VAT receipt ,and everything is always a Tenner !
