we have a club meetings section

can we use it more
there is no restriction on who can arrange a meet, its open to all,
all suggestions welcome, girlfriends/wives/boyfriends welcome
meets at pubs/stately homes/car park have all worked in the past
with the organiser usually getting his drinks paid for

meetings are a great way of meeting fellow LOC members, getting to see each others cars and generally a great way of passing an evening or weekend
instead of constantly posting pictures up, get out and see the real thing !
and we can even talk in real time, not through a keyboard
now that the evenings are lighter longer and the weather is warming up, theres no better time

Will use it more

As long as we get plenty of people checking, posting on it and attending the meets.

Come on everyone let's get some big meets with plenty of people turning up and showing support for the LOC

I have ... through meets on this forum made some good freinds !

I'm now also a member of a bikers forum, and they have weekly meets !! And every week, they still have at least 20 people at the meet ...............

So come on .......... more meets

I do agree that there doesnt seem to be huge interest in meets but for the people that havent attended any yet, come on people!!!!!

Meet other fellow members and hopefully have some good weather so we can have some good nights or days out

Last year was the first year I really attended meets, and it was much more fun than I expected!

Went the wrong way when doing 0-60 timing run at Trax
Left my luggage on the Brussels ring road on the way to nurburgring
Ace Cafe security geezer wouldn't let my car into car park on Jap night after I debadged it (he thought it was a Merc E class!)
Got my "pimpin aint eazy" sticker at JAE
Had an interesting time trying to overtake Scarface on the way to Japfest!

So far this year, the response to meetings, have been poor and for thsose who dont know, i organise all the club stands at the big meets in my own time voluntarily, and sometimes at my cost as well !

So maybe instead of sitting behind your computer screens, we could start to see more people supporting the club, by attending the meets.

i went to my first meet in Notts last month and enjoyed it going to another on sunday as enjoy the drive up with some of the members and its good to put a few faces to names and taking part in club events is what makes a club? And the LOC is a great club to be in so hopfully more meets will be created which is 1 of the reasons i joined in the 1st place A BIG thumbs up to the LOC

i would like to come to more my self but your guys are miles from where i am....

well this is my first meet im goin to on sunday since joining the loc last month i have to say im quiet lookin forward to it. i would rather meet the owners of these plush rides and have a good day out and a laugh. All i can say people Support the loc and go to the meets, and if its close by in your area jump in your car and get to it, there are tons of lexus drivers out there so COME ON SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

Here here, the meets I have been to (3 in the past month) have been really good. It has been great meeting all the new people and seeing how everyone has modded their car in their own way

Roll on the summer so we can have more of them

Well, dependant upon how Sunday goes, I've got a few plans in the pipeline. We'll see what comes of it and hopefully the response will be good.

I am looking into arranging another Northern meet, something that is a little more official dependant upon interest.

If you would be interested please let me know and if there is enough I will take this further.

It would be a full day and would involve everyone who wanted to attend- all being lined up in some really nice surroundings.

Im from the north east, sunderland is rather sunny at the min

I am sure some of the North East (Scotland) boys would be interested in a Northern meet. Manchester or further north even better.

Did the bowling as an activity meet with universal approval ?

We need to figure out a venue/activity that all will be up for,(inluding Wives/Girlfriends other half's)
then plan a time date that will suit most, and then give peeps a fair advance warning..

It was on a sunday morning, great day out,we went to the pub after in convoy, along the A406


just looked at the date, it was so long ago.

I think i've got some video footage of that convoy... with Fargo & Mat bobbling through the tunnel at Angel.
What an awesome sound the exhausts made...
