Hey there all,
As promised, I have been working on arranging another North West Meet - one to rival the first...
I have booked a date for another location for the North West Meet - The Return
Sunday August 19th 2007 was the only date available for this venue so I have stuck our name on it.
The venue is Haigh Hall, which can be found
here and
here.
Below are some images of where we will be situated:
This will be an all day event.Opinions and thoughts VERY welcome

I was trying to organise a bbq that could of been an annual event but struggled with interest if everyone enjoys this one then maybe it could become a yearly thing bit like JAE!!

I'm expecting a phone call from Tim before he leaves this afternoon, so I hope to have any other information available ASAP.
Are there any more members from the South that would be interested? Matt, Adie, Yaumiester, Prolex, Sam, WIM, Continuity, Fidgits, TDi, Bazza etc etc? Just to name a few...
Any members from the North? Jay, Moffet, Aido etc etc once again to name a few off the top of my melon.
Depending upon how big this gets, maybe even some of our Irish pals?
As mentioned above, what I'm hoping is that we can make this a rather big event - we'll see how it goes but that is what I would like to see for the club...
Thanks,
Jamie

Potentially mate, only problem I have is that I'm stacked with work at the mo so what with working weekends makes it a little hard to attend a lot of the meets.
I really want to get to JAE this year so that's my main aim

I've started to add names to the first post now. If you are interested, please post and I will update the first post with your name

Anyone want to be Number 12 on the attendees list

?
Aido, if you can attend that would be great... This date, being in mid-late August is slightly more out of the way of the rest of the shows as well which is what I hoped for.
Many thanks,
Jamie

EXCELLENT NEWS EVERYONE!
I have spoken with the Manager of the venue and all is pretty much finalised.
I have spoken with the regional Lexus branch and they would like to attend (final decision to be made after statistics of attendees is provided).
Providing they are happy with foot fall, they will be bringing their display including an RX, GS and their LS Hybrid

I will be speaking with the Manager of Toyota tomorrow to bring them along as well.
I have invited a local Japanese specialist tuning company along to display some of their work, their services and some customer cars as well hopefully. (
Hyper Sports & Racing and
here)
I will be contacting local newspapers for publicity and will also be making some posters within the week if I can.
Costing has been discussed and the price is looking very reasonable, but for this to be even better, we do need more attendees.
Steve, when I contacted the Manager of the venue, we discussed Public Liability Insurance and need to confirm that we have this along with the "certificate" to produce to the Health & Risk Assessment Team there.
Come on everyone, this is looking to be a great day!
Many thanks,
Jamie

It will definately be a good one if we can get some more members along, if we don't, I'm not sure if it will go ahead...
Added you Rory matey

So far, we have one maybe from the TOC

Remember all, it isn't just for the North West - c'est por tout le monde!

jamie. you more than likely have your thinking cap on but do you know of any FREE advertising newspapers that might put an advert on for the event. something that might be worth a try

Or if anyone in the world of LOC/TOC does PUT THE WORD OUT!!!!!!!

Jamie it sounds great mate, but I am really a working dj,
and currently would cost me a lot to take the night off,
as I am self employed.
Plus from South East London that is a mighty trek that
would mean the long drive and a car that likes petrol a lot...
I really hope the event goes great for you and the LOC
members, but have to bow out on this 1.
Have a great time guys.

Thanks everyone, as I've said, this will be a great day - IF we can make the numbers.
I need to generate some statistics of predicted foot-fall for the day so if anyone can help me with this (maybe from experience with other shows) it would be greatly appreciated!
Can anyone help out with posters?
Can anyone help out with any other publicity?
Anyone have any contacts within the radio business for a shout out?
Any budding DJs with a license to play?

Spoke with top man at local Toyota dealers and he is also very interested in the day! He would want to bring down the Toyota stand and about 8 cars apparently

Also, regarding the detailers - the ball was already in motion for that fella
FINALLY: Should we go the distance and open this up to Subaru and Nissan as well? Another two Jap companies?
Thanks,
Jamie
