I have been speaking with Jason(D5 Workshop) for the last week about getting a stainless badge cut out as below to be pop riveted on the airbox. The supercharged and the IS200 will be polished and the rest of the plate will be scored. The more interest there is the cheaper they will be.So roll up Roll up

Included with the 'supercharged is200' plate will be another small plate with the 'sport' logo on it with holes either side so this can be riveted down as well!

Yes gord was thinking about taking filter and all that out of box and plugging the oil breather and air sensor holes on the airbox and leaving it where it is then remove the pipe to supercharger and sneaking a induction kit on there.

I thought that this way there would be some cold air would go up through the airbox and be directed at the supercharger but dont know just how much.

Has it been done before?
Rob
you would have to break the pipe out of the airbox that goes to the SC for a start as you would not have clearance for the airbox and the induction kit.
Also for any air that was directed onto the SC wouldnt make any difference as the air coming out of the SC is in the region of 80C

Ill only have to remove the rubber hose that connects the airbox to the S/C but that will not be needed anyway if an induction is in place.

what i meant is that you will prob also need to remove the small metal pipe that comes out of the airbox also, but then looking at the airbox are you 100% sure you will have engough clearance ( even if the pipe is removed from the airbox) ?

Yes i fitted the old rubber elbow from my old Induction and it fits going in a dowward angle i am getting a stainless pipe made up on monday to the run to just behind the headlight which ill add old filter. Then a pipe running down to front of the bumper with a sheild at top of the pipe to sort of hold the cold air near the filter. I should get it all done by mid week and get pics up. I just dont want to get rid of the airbox as it tidies up the engine bay.

Hello Rod sounds like quite a plan you have there mate and i know what you mean about the airbox and keeping it tidy smile.gif are you running the pipe to the front of the car then back across to the drivers side to sit behind the headlight or is there enough room behind the passenger side headlight to get your filter on?
Rob's Lexx
i'd be interested.

does it come in red like that?? if so, i'm not so keen.

does the air box have to be opened up for this to be fitted??
boddamloon
No chris ill be running the pipe from behind the drivers headlight to the back of the charger which is also on drivers side.I think you are getting mixed up with the N/A set up where it goes in at passenger side? This is where the pipe from intercooler now goes.

Ok have got a quote from the company making these for me and the prices are as follows!!!!!

The cost for making just the one is expensive but the more people that buy them the lower the price will get for everyone!

These prices quoted below are for 1X 'Supercharged IS200' plate and 1X 'Sport' Logo plate.......finished, polished plates delivered to a UK address.

1 Plate = £50 each

2 Plates= £35 each

3 Plates= £30 each

4 Plates= £28 each

5 Plates= £27 each

6 Plates= £26 each unsure.gif

They will be finished to the same polished stainless steel grade of the dial kits i have for sale and will need to be riveted/screwed down!

I am making NO profit on these to try and bring the price down for LOC members as i don't think im going to be trading on here much longer! cry.gif

Like i said earlier the TTE airbox does tidy up the engine bay but it does look a bit bare and is in the need of some bling and i think this might just be it so come on guys put your hands in your pockets.
