Rikos
I've got one for you J, what are your appendix for??

If we need them why can we have them taken out without collapsing and dieing!!
Giblet
they were there for when early man used to eat grass and stuff and hence why we don't need them anymore
Rikos
But what do they do?

And a more important question ... can we sell them on ebay??
Giblet
now they don't do anything i believe, and a cop out answer to the ebay question is no as they don't allow you to sell body organs.
Rikos
Damn ebay why no organs i was looking to make some quick cash!!

I thought u said they didnt sell organs

You can die quite easily if a piece of crap gets lodged in your Appendix as well - apparently ;)

A surgical lesson for you....

The appendix is what is referred to as a 'blind tube' located in the right lower abdominal quadrant. The appendix has no special function and can be removed without any ill effects if infection/inflammation becomes present. Inflammation commonly begins in the area called the mucosa following a breach in the epithilium which allows bowel products (or 'crap' as you refer to it!) into the blind tube. Because it has nowhere to go, it accumulates and cause pain. This then leads on to obstruction and an infection called peritonitis. Commonly described as a 'dull, constant' pain located around the midline-epigastric region - pain is exacerbated by coughing and may have 'rebound' tenderness to rt lower quad.

That is what can happen if a peice of 'crap' gets lodged in your appendix. See, I'm not just a pretty face. (not even that I don't think!)

Thank you for that Keith, i can now sleep tonight knowing that i'm ok as long as i have a cr*p before

Just make sure when you do that it's not little pellets because that's a pre-disposing factor! Honestly, I wish I'd never gone into my job - every single thing you do is a symptom of something hideous!

Not google, my knowledge comes from 7 years working in emergency medicine and surgery. Although even though my medical knowledge is the size of a small planet, I still don't understand women. What are you actually supposed to say when they say 'which is more me, the green or the blue?'

The "Creationists" make an interesting argument about the appendix.

They argue that man was created "fully formed" by *** and that every part of him (and her) must therefore have a use.

Those who believe in evolution suggest that the appendix is the vestigial remains of an organ that was useful in man's early evolution, but no longer fulfils any useful purpose. Anyone who accepts this evolutionary argument must believe that man has developed slowly over the millennia from an earlier and less developed being and could not therefore have been created in his present form by ***.

If you believe in the "Creation" you shouldn't have your appendix out . . . . . :tomato:

I have just discovered that the word for the deity is censored by this site . . . . . . :shutit:

Indeed, He Almighty is filtered, so as not to be used as blasphemy and profanity.

You are right though and whatever anyone's beliefs on Humanity and Creation etc, the human body is a most sophisticated entity.
