Fancied a 200i for some yrs but gave it up cos of only 25mpg in this day & age. Now I'm thinking why settle for anything less than a real drivers car, so how about the RS - what mpg wd that do, compared to a 200i?

Whats a 200i? Toyota Altezza RS200 gets approx 20 MPG, not the greatest at all

I'm getting about 30mpg out of mine.

I meant is200. 30mpg, not too bad, what kind of slow do you have to do to get that? How about 50% steady on Mway, 20% in town, 20% gently in the lanes, 10% going for it?
PS I want a pure white one just like that, sunroof, leather.

Dont see much motorway in my area but generally I keep it under 4000rpm and hardly ever pass 50mph. The roads around my area dont suit my low car. Couple of weeks ago went on a long road trip to a show was driving hard all the way and still got 520km from a tank of petrol.

i always average over 30 mpg motoway or town.usually put my foot down but i dont rag the balls out of it.not bad on juice.on long runs get 35mpg plus motorway.thats in my standard rs200 manual.

I average 450km's to a tank in my auto... rarely on A roads or motorways, all town & country driving... heavy right foot

450km's(280 miles)
60lt (13.2 gals) tank in Altezzas

=13.33 lts/100km or 21 mpg :(

could get 25 mpg if i wanted, but thats not the point of buying a sporty car ;)

21 to 35mpg - I can live with that - thank you, all

I got 400 Km from 55 liters... in town its far less then that... this is not driving slowly or in anyway trying to conserve petrol... mostly 180Km/h ;)
