My passenger door blew open in a really strong wind recently.
It didn't look good when it happened, but it still opens and closes. It seems to be sitting OK when closed. The gaps are pretty similar to the drivers side, but now catches slightly on the front wing and makes a 'popping' sound as the panel bends and then releases. Its just the edges of the panels touching, but they will wear the paint off at the contact point if I leave them.The 2 main hinges look OK.
There is another "thing" in between the 2 hinges, which I'm not sure of the purpose. It connects to the car with a pin. The pin is slightly bent, although I'm not sure it is the cause of the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
How can I remove the door completely to take a better look at the hinges, and try straighten this pin out?
