Full Version: Removed The Radiator - To Change Oil Cooler

Hi All,

I had to change my power steering oil cooler (old one corroded and leaked everywhere) and to do that I had to remove the radiator.

The question which I hope someone can help me with is:-

How can do I refill the cooling system without getting air locks? :

I have had this problem before (with an old cavalier) and it caused all sorts of problems.

Any advice greatly appreciated

P.S: The car in question is MK2 GS300.

Many Thanx

Fill it slowly....

Start engine with filler cap off, and keep topping up... when the inlet pipe gets warm.. i.e. when the thermostat has opened, the level should drop a bit more, so top up again and put the cap back on..

allow to run for a while, go for a drive if you like, then check again when cold.
