Tries that but they wanted £12.95. So I tried putting an unused Virgin SIM with £1 credit in the phone after taking the Orange one out and it works. So just wondering what will happen if Orange try to activate it when it's got a Virgin SIM in and it's switched off?
Noticed there's also a deal at Carphone Warehouse for a Nokia on Virgin for £12.95 including £10 credit I could have saved myself the trouble for an emergency phone as a spare :

It could even be:
1. A new phone
2. A sim that may have £1 or £5 credit preloaded on it.
3. £10 Virgin credit applied after 8 days
4. £2 credit applied within 48 hours of registering with Virgin
5. £48 worth of Virgin minutes (200 minutes x 2 @ £24 each)
If you do it right
