thats right folks ! Christmas is once again almost upon us
is everyone looking forward to the big event ?
is everyone thinking of presents and celebrations ?

if you thought you had nothing to look forward to ?

then think again !!

the famous LOC photo competition raises its head once again
but this time its bigger,
its better, and prizes like never before !



this special competition is open to all LOC members (staff excluded)
entries can be uploaded between 1st and 21st of December
in readiness for the announcement of the winners on Christmas day !


We thought long and hard to come up with a theme for this competition,
after lots of brain scratching we decided :
that the theme should, as we are the Lexus Owners Club, maybe contain a Lexus car, in fact we thought what better than your own Lexus
and we also thought maybe it should have a Christmas theme ! as .... its nearly Christmas !




so the theme is :Your Christmas LexusClick to view attachment



the basic idea is we want a photo of your lexus, depicting Christmas, in any way you see fit
baubles, tinsel, candles, flashing lights, trees, all allowed and encouraged
decorated cars or backgrounds
no photo-shopping
1 photo per member

What about toyota that looks like a lexus eg Aristo or Altezza

yep Toyotas with an equavalent Lexus model are allowed

you say no "photoshopping" ... maybe editing or enhancing might be a better description...

is resizing allowed?

may i suggest that entries are sent to "staff" unedited, who in turn host the pics on LOC?

don't think you have to worry about pics going up before 1st of december if the last comp. is anything to go by...

photoshopping as in superimposing christmas trees on the roof of your car !!
slight alterations to enhance will be ok
masking/removing number plates is also fine

the staff struggle to find time for themselves, so lets not burden them with more
there are many free hosting sites which can be used to host

That doesn't sound realistic. The files straight from my camera are in Canon Raw format and the first stage of my workflow processes them to tifs of about 40 Mbytes.

I am assuming that you will want compressed files in jpeg format (or similar) and I would have thought you wanted an image of not more than say 800 to 1000 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 100 to 150 kbytes. Anything bigger is wasted on a PC screen and serious togs wouldn't generally be willing to post full scale images anyway.

If I have missed the image spec somewhere, my apologies.

yeah resizing, editing plates and lightening up dark pics will be ok.

infact it was taken by my friend by accident whilst messing around with my phone! as a result im calling it 'natural' haha.
